Modern Millwork Kitchen & Bath Studio first
approached us in late 1999 and again in 2001 looking
for a way to bring their business to the internet.
Having been in business for over fifty years, it
was necessary to establish a presence on the web
to keep up with the changing times.
After a brief discussion, their needs to showcase
their talents and exceptional customer relations
became apparent. As a small business, they relied
on word of mouth to be their best advertisement.
They also wanted to have a list of some of the product
lines they were involved with. It was agreed that
the site should have a magazine look.
To show off their customer relationships, we incorporated
a testimonials
section filled with recommendations by former &
existing clientele. We designed a javascript driven
gallery to show off their projects and product line
galleries. Using digital photography, we also added
a staff biography page to allow interested clients
to learn about the employees they would be working
with when they went to Modern Millwork. We added
a directions page to help clients find their way
to the showroom from various places in the tri-state
area. We provided an ASP form to allow interested
vistors to request more information via the website.
Modern Millwork recently approached us to update
their site as it was almost a year old. The site
is currently under development. We decided to do
a more in-depth website using warmer colors. We
decided to continue using a magazine layout in presenting
the website, but approached using a different style.
We wanted to use a color scheme that was easiar
on the eyes, and had a similar feel to a light wood.
Some of the features for the new site that are
currently under development:
• Database-driven testimonials page
allowing sorting
• PDF full color downloadable catalogs
• Cascading Style Sheets
• Drop Down menu navigation
